CENTRAL ASIA · FOUR MARKETS · FOUR LANGUAGES

Building the right catalogue for Central Asia

Qisqa Drama is developing a regional platform for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, centered on Tashkent, Astana, Bishkek, and Dushanbe. These connected but distinct markets vary in language, culture, viewing habits, purchasing power, and audience expectations. Shahnoza looks for stories that can travel across the region and support a lasting catalogue.

01

Content acquisition

Works with international producers, studios, distributors, platforms, and IP owners to find completed vertical series available for licensing across Central Asia. Qisqa Drama is open to stories from Europe, Türkiye, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and other markets. The goal is the right catalogue for the region—not the largest one.
02

Content evaluation

Looks beyond the trailer. Qisqa Drama assesses storytelling, opening hook, emotional engagement, episode momentum, cliffhanger strength, binge potential, production quality, audience fit, localization, cultural compatibility, and commercial potential. Whenever possible, the team evaluates the complete series before significant licensing and localization commitments.
03

Audience & cultural fit

Global stories need regional understanding. Titles are reviewed for cultural context, audience expectations, and suitability for broad audiences. Particular attention is paid to sexualized content, explicit intimacy, violence and cruelty, bullying, religious or ideological messaging, and age appropriateness—especially for younger audiences.
04

Partner relations

Shahnoza is a principal contact for international content partners and coordinates the relationship from catalogue exchange through launch preparation.

Localization across four languages

Qisqa Drama’s core localization languages are Uzbek, Kazakh, Tajik, and Russian. Shahnoza coordinates subtitles, dubbing, cultural adaptation, and quality control. Localization is more than translation: dialogue, voice, cultural context, terminology, timing, and emotional delivery shape how a story feels to its audience.
06

Testing & audience intelligence

Qisqa Drama favors a measured approach: select, localize, test, measure, then scale. Promising titles can first be tested with real audiences. Over time, this builds behavioral insight into Central Asian vertical-entertainment audiences and helps partners make better content decisions.
